New Appointment

Ian Bysouth, principal consultant with Ian Bysouth Consulting has been appointed as an approved auditor for the Responsible Business Standard. This standard enables smaller businesses to explore all aspects of corporate social responsibility and satisfy themselves that they are running there business in the best interest of all those involved with the business.

The standard covers 5 basic areas and these can best be summarised as follows:

 

                  Workplace - Environment - Community - Marketplace - Values and Transparency

With the drive from central government for local authorities to engage more local business, this standard is a great way for small businesses to prove that they operate to a recognised standard.

The standard has been developed in conjunction with the University of East Anglia.
